Police on Sunday night arrested a man on charge of raping an 11-year-old minor girl from Campus Tole in Krishnapur Municipality-5.

The accused has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Gurung (53), a resident of the same municipality in Kanchanpur district.

Gurung allegedly lured and raped the minor. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Gulariya-based Area Police Office nabbed him.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed the police.
