A man has been arrested on charge of raping his five-year-old niece in Tanahun district, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police, Yubaraj Timilsina, District Police Office.

The name of the 53-year-old accused has not been disclosed.

The accused allegedly raped the minor when her mother was not at home.

A rape case has been registered against the accused at the District Court and further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
