Police arrested a man who allegedly killed his son in Kohalpur Municipality-12 of Banke district, on Wednesday night. 

The arrested has been identified as Thakur Prasad Wali of Chappargaudi in Kohalpur-12. 

Following a dispute, Wali struck his son, Poshan Wali who appeared to be around 19 years old, with a Khukuri (knife) from behind while the latter was taking bath, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Rabindra Khanal, chief at Kohalpur-based Area Police Office. The teenager inflicted critical injury on the neck, DSP Khanal said and added, he succumbed to injuries on the way to Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital.

Thakur was nabbed from his residence. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, the DSP said..
