KATHMANDU: Two pedestrians were injured after being hit by a microbus in Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
According to Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara, a microbus with registration number Ba. Pra. 01–002 Cha 8322 struck the pedestrians, both of whom were children.
The injured have been identified as 5-year-old Ashika Rai from Dhankuta and 9-year-old Bibek Tamang. They are currently receiving treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Maitighar.
Rai’s condition is reported to be normal, while Tamang’s condition is critical. Police have taken the driver, 29-year-old Ramhari Bista from Sindhupalchok and currently residing in Bhaktapur, into custody for further investigation.
