KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has stressed that the government and civil society should join hands to control the activities that attempt to unsettle peace, harmony and law and order in the society.

During a meeting with civil society leaders at the Home Ministry today, Minister Aryal requested the participants to play their parts for social and religious tolerance in the society. Religious hatred and misleading news and information spread through social platforms need to be discouraged, he underscored.

The Minister argued that the civil society leaders have vital roles to maintain peace, harmony and law and order by combating various types of religious extremism, according to Home Minister Aryal’s Secretariat.
