RAUTAHAT: Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport, Kulman Ghising, urged public to elect right leadership in the upcoming election. The interim government is mandated to conduct the House of Representatives (HoR) election on March 5, 2026.
Minister Ghising said it while addressing a programme at Chandrapur-8 in the district on Friday. Ghising, who is also the Minister for Urban Development, viewed political leadership must be right to bring about changes in the country.
“The right candidate should therefore be elected through the upcoming voting,” he urged, reminding that it is a proper moment to elect able leadership. The leaders who love the country and are dedicated to development are urgent for us, according to him.
Acknowledging the high expectations from the interim government formed in the wake of Gen Z movement, he assured, “We will demonstrate by delivering on the works that are doable in the remaining three months.”
On a different note, the Minister shared that actions were being taken against the construction entrepreneurs and contractors. He assured of bringing to book the erring ones in Rautahat district and accelerate the development works.
The Minister recalled how the electricity sector has undergone radical changes when he assumed the role of Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority. “Now the country needs more radical transformation in all sectors,” he exhorted.
On the occasion, he mentioned a deep boring project worth Rs 18 billion was currently being implemented under the Ministry of the Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
