KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun has warned of action against school principals who fail to pay teachers their salaries.

On Saturday morning, Minister Pun wrote on social media that he had received complaints from teachers who had not been paid as the Dashain–Tihar festivals approach.

He warned that if salaries are not released by Sunday (September 28), action will be taken. According to him, the Ministry of Education has already released the funds to the schools.

He clarified that if principals or school management committees have unfairly withheld the payments, they must release them immediately.
