NAWALPUR: The Daunne section of the Narayanghat–Butwal road has been blocked due to rain.
The rain this morning made the road slippery, leading to a traffic halt on the four-lane expanding road, according to the police.
Inspector Janakraj Banjara, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, informed that traffic has been completely halted at Bishwakarma Temple in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 due to the muddy road conditions.
According to Banjara, once the rain stops, bulldozers will clear the mud, and vehicles will be allowed to proceed toward their destinations.
This section of the road, which is being expanded, experiences full road blockages even with light rain, as it was closed for six hours last night.
The Narayanghat–Butwal Road Expansion Project aims to complete much of the work by mid-June, according to officials. Currently, travelers have been facing significant difficulties due to frequent road blockages.
