BHARATPUR: On the ninth day of the major Dashain festival, the police have reported that the Narayangadh–Muglin road and the Prithvi Highway are operating without any disruptions.
Since the start of Dashain, the Narayangadh–Muglin road has frequently been blocked due to landslides. However, today vehicles are moving smoothly without interruption.
Inspector Pratik Singh of the Muglin Area Police Office stated that compared to yesterday, traffic volume is lower and there are no obstacles on the road.
He added that security personnel have been deployed on the highways 24/7 throughout the Dashain period, ensuring that travelers face no problems.
On Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM, a landslide carrying ice blocked both directions of the road at Tuin Khola in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality–5.
After clearing the landslide, the road reopened in both directions at 8:40 PM. While traffic remained heavy until last night, police reported that it has now decreased significantly.
Frequent landslides at Tuin Khola have caused difficulties for travelers in the past.
