A worker has died in Rasuwa district today due to a landslide while extending the road access to a hydroelectricity project. According to the District Police Office Rasuwa, the deceased has been identified as Gyalwo Chhiring Tamang, 55, of Thade village in Gosainkunda village municipality-6 of Rasuwa district.

According to Acting Police Chief Ganesh Sapkota, Tamang died in a landslide while extending the 78 MW Salasungi Hydro Power Road. The incident took place at Gonggang village on the way to Tatopani.

Similarly, Karsang Tamang, 54, a resident of Amachodingmo Rural Municipality-5, Gongang, was airlifted to Kathmandu by a helicopter for treatment. Police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
