DHANKUTA:  One person was killed and 14 others injured when a passenger bus traveling from Dharan to Bhojpur crashed at Gothgaun, Dhankuta, on Monday morning.

According to the District Police Office, Dhankuta, three of the injured are in critical condition. The injured passengers were rescued and taken to District Hospital Dhankuta for treatment.

The accident occurred at approximately 10:15 AM today when the bus traveling toward Bhojpur from Dharan veered off the road and fell down at a turn along the Koshi Highway in Dhankuta Municipality-6.

Deceased has been identified as 73-year-old Krishna Kumari Rai, a resident of Dhankuta Municipality-6.
