The Department of Passports has informed that passports will be issued to citizens who have to go to foreign countries for medical treatment or other important businesses.

The department will issue the passports from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday. 

Meanwhile, those who seek for obtaining passports for emergency use have been urged to contact the office and present the required documents at the stipulated time on Friday.

The department has halted issuing the passports since some of the staff at the office tested positive for COVID-19.
