A pedestrian died when a jeep hit him in Bajhang on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Gagan Okheda, 60, of Bitthadchir rural municipality-9.

A jeep bound to Bagthala from Kedarseu rural municipality-1, Deura Bazaar hit a pedestrian while he was walking along the bazaar area, DSP at District Police Office Jageswor Bhandari shared.

Okheda died on the spot. Jeep driver Deependra Dhami, a resident of Bungal municipality-6, had been at large after the incident, police said.
