KATHMANDU: A U.S. chartered plane carrying Nepalese individuals residing illegally in the United States has arrived in Kathmandu.

The GRP-23 aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport with 10 Nepalese who were staying in the U.S. without official documents.

They were deported as part of former President Trump’s policy to remove illegal immigrants. With this, the number of Nepalese deported from the U.S. has reached 37. Previously, 27 Nepalese had been sent back to Kathmandu.

The U.S. has been deporting illegal immigrants from Nepal, India, and several other countries.
