KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli participated in the program organized to celebrate the 2569th Buddha Jayanti.

He was welcomed by Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya upon his arrival. Buddha Jayanti is celebrated every year on Baisakh Shukla Purnima.

The event saw the presence of Lumbini Area Development Trust Chairperson and Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Pandey, along with federal ministers, the Province Chief of Lumbini, the Chief Minister, members of the Provincial Council of Ministers, and heads and representatives of diplomatic missions.

Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return to Kathmandu later today.
