KATHMANDU: Laxman Poudel was elected the President of the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) from its 20th annual general assembly.
In the vote counts completed on Monday night, Poudel was elected the President.
Likewise, Basudev Dahal, Bikalpa Raj Pokhrel and Gita Siwakoti were elected the vice-presidents, while Bhabanath Humagain made to the post of the general secretary.
Suraj Silwal, Ashik Karki, Sadhana Pudasaini and Govinda Khanal were elected in other posts of the office-bearers.
Earlier, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel inaugurated the 20th annual general assembly of ECAN and acknowledged the important role of ECAN in the education sector of the country, while stating that education entrepreneurs associated with ECAN were contributing to the national economy.
