BIRGUNJ: Following protests in Birgunj, Parsa, over the recent vandalism in Kamala Municipality, Dhanusha, the District Administration Office has issued a prohibitory order in key areas of the city.

According to the District Security Committee, all kinds of gatherings, rallies, assemblies, and demonstrations are strictly prohibited in the designated areas from 1:00 PM today (January 5) until further notice.

The order has been issued under Clause 6, Sub-clause 3(a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS. The restricted area is bounded by Bus Park in the east, Sirsiya Bridge in the west, Powerhouse Chowk in the north, and Shankaracharya Gate in the south.
