Province 1 has been named Kosi. The name was approved by the Province 1 assembly.

UML state assembly member Ram Rana Magar proposed the proposal named Kosi.

Speaker Baburam Gautam asked to present votes for and against the resolution.

After a voice vote on Kosi’s proposal, the proposal to name Kirant Limbuwan Everest Province was rejected by the assembly.
