KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party president Rabi Lamichhane, freed from Nakkhu Prison on Tuesday after Gen Z protesters broke him out, has issued an appeal calling for restraint and protection of national property.
Lamichhane paid tribute to those killed in the movement and said the country must now advance according to Gen Z’s vision.
He warned against damaging state institutions and vital documents, calling them “national assets that must be safeguarded.”
“The looters of this nation are being punished. Their illegally amassed wealth should be nationalized, and they must face justice,” he said.
Lamichhane added that his release followed due legal process under public pressure and pledged to remain loyal to the law.
He urged citizens to stay calm, stressing that he stands firmly for people’s supremacy.
