JHAPA: The District Administration Office, Jhapa, has asked one and all not to reveal the voters’ privacy by posting contents on Facebook, Youtube and other social networking sites regarding their preferences to the candidates for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives (HoR).

Referring to the online content creators, the administration has urged the concerned sides not to ask “which party and candidate you are going to vote?” in the upcoming HoR polls.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Assistant Chief District Officer and Election Code of Conduct Monitoring Officers Tej Prasad Prasain and Anjan Neupane made such a request to all, adding that some online news portals have sought such comments from the voters.

Exposing such privacy of the voters is a violation of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082, the District Administration Office stated.

The administration has also warned of actions as per the laws if the Election Code of Conduct were violated.
