A young man was killed last night in Galchi of Dhading using a sharp weapon. Police said that Vinod Thapa Magar died while being taken to Kathmandu for treatment after a local Niraj Pandit fired a weapon during a general dispute in a hotel.

Pandit and others have been arrested on the charge of involvement in the murder, but the locals have blocked the Galchi-Muling road in protest against the incident. The protesters also set fire to a vehicle.
