BAGLUNG: A motorable road has reached the remote Phorsa village in Badigad Rural Municipality, ending decades of isolation for local residents.

Constructed with a joint investment of Rs 32.5 million from the Gandaki Province Government and the rural municipality, the road connects Puranogaun, Phorsa and Bhedikhor in Ward No. 8. The project directly benefits around 200 households.

Local officials said the road extension required cutting through difficult rocky terrain for nearly five kilometres. Before the road was built, residents had to walk at least three hours to access the nearest road network.

The rural municipality plans to further upgrade the route, which has been designated a Provincial Pride Project, with additional funding expected in the next fiscal year.
