KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has expressed support for the Generation Z movement and warned the government against suppressing it.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the party affirmed its solidarity with the youth-led ‘Gen Z protests.’
“We have always raised our voices on the streets against systemic misgovernance, abuse of state power, and violations of freedom and fundamental rights. This protest is not limited to Generation Z alone but is linked to the broader political environment,” RSP stated.
The party noted that it is positive that young protesters have advanced independently without using any party symbols, slogans, or affiliations, and expressed confidence that this will strengthen democratic practice further.
RSP urged the government not to reject, suppress, or undermine the movement of the new generation.
The party warned, “If the government and ruling parties ignore the voice of the youth, it will not be possible to suppress a mass movement.”
Expressing full support for the peaceful protests of the youth, the party called on the government to listen to their demands.
