KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has declined to issue an interim order for former Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Hitendra Dev Shakya, who had filed a writ petition seeking reinstatement.

Shakya submitted the petition on Monday, and it was heard on Tuesday by a bench led by Justice Nripadhwaj Niraula.

The court directed the government to submit its response before issuing a final verdict.

Shakya was removed from his NEA post by the government led by Sushila Karki following the Gen Z Movement, prompting him to seek judicial intervention.
