KATHMANDU: Communication and Information Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has stated that the School Education Act and the Civil Service Bill will be enacted during the current budget session.

He made this announcement during an interaction with journalists at Biratnagar Airport on Friday morning. Regarding recent political developments, Minister Gurung said that the registration of cases against former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and others by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is part of the commission’s regular work. He said, “The CIAA is also a body that monitors the government.”

He also accused opposition parties of engaging in political vendetta against Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and stated that the minister should resign.

Minister Gurung had come to Biratnagar to inspect the former regional publication office of Gorkhapatra Sansthan and to participate in various programs.
