Police arrested seven persons on the charge of gambling in Devchuli Municipality of Nawalpur district, on Friday.

According to police, Kedar kafle (43) of Devchuli-12 along with seven others were arrested from Balkrishna Lungeli’s residence at Kunawas in Devchuli-1 on Friday afternoon.

A joint team of police personnel deployed from Nawalpur District Police Office (DPO)  and the Daldale-based temporary police porce arrested the group and confiscated Rs 31,190 and three packs of playing cards.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
