KATHMANDU: Speaker of the dissolved House of Representatives, Dev Raj Ghimire, has wished that Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day would further strengthen Nepal’s shared determinations–national unity, mutual harmony and prosperity.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day today, Ghimire expressed respect towards the founder of the nation Prithvi Narayan Shah for his contribution to country unification process.

He extended best wishes among all Nepalis at home and aboard on the occasion of this Day. “The visionary leadership, patriotism and sentiment of unity of Prithvi Narayan Shah, who laid foundation of independent, sovereign and self-respecting Nepal by uniting small states, is a source of inspiration of all of us even today,” reads the message.

Shah’s ideology and teachings will always guide national-unity, self-reliant and country’s welfare, underscored Speaker Ghimire.
