KATHMANDU: The Third Edition of the World Peace Programme is scheduled to be organized in Lumbini and Ramgram from January 11 to 13, 2026.
The Promised Land Foundation is organizing the event with the call for peace for a prosperous future.
Some 10,000 participants including UN cultural ambassadors, global business leaders, billionaires, scholars, artists, youths and community representatives from Nepal and beyond are scheduled to take part.
Media coordinator of the programme, Sulochana Khatiwada, said that 25 billionaires from different parts of the world would visit to Nepal for their first joint tour to explore opportunities in Nepal.
The third edition of the event has focused Nepal’s spiritual heritage, peace and prosperity.
The organizer said that the theme of the event aligns with the UN SDG-16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
The three-day event would witness sessions on peace, climate, development, local welfare and social justice,
pragmatic peace building, leadership, youth and communist-focused topics, according to the organizer.
Khatiwada shared that former chief of state from three countries would take part in the event.
