LUMBINI: Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya of Lumbini Province has conveyed his belief that the Tihar festival fosters social unity, harmony, and fraternity.

In a greeting message issued today for the Tihar festival, he encouraged everyone to adopt the values and messages of Tihar, which lead society towards truth, justice, and positive thinking.

Chief Minister Acharya emphasized that Tihar, an indigenous cultural festival of the Nepali people, underscores the interconnectedness of humans, nature, and the animal world.

He expressed his conviction that Tihar significantly enhances the bonds between brothers and sisters, promotes social unity, and encourages collective responsibility.

Regarding the tradition of collecting funds through Deusi-Bhailo, Chief Minister Acharya remarked that utilizing the collected funds for socially beneficial and creative endeavors is part of our shared cultural heritage, and it is the duty of all to safeguard and uphold it.

In his greeting message, Chief Minister Acharya highlighted that the values and importance of Tihar are linked to discipline, harmony, and mutual cooperation, and he noted that the provincial government is committed to advancing social transformation and good governance through such cultural celebrations.
