KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport has been fully closed as the Gen Z protests intensify across the country.

According to a senior official at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, continuous fire incidents in nearby areas, along with worsening conditions for air safety, forced the closure.

Flights already in the sky were allowed to land, but all remaining flights have been cancelled. The airport has been shut down until further notice.
