Police arrested a man on the charge of raping a 22-year-old woman in Lalitpur district on Tuesday.
The arrested has been identified as Madan Kumar Singh Tharu (40) of Bhangaha Municipality-7 in Mahottari district, currently been staying in a rented room at Pati in Godawari Municipality-3 in Lalitpur.
Acting on the information that Tharu raped the woman on Monday afternoon, security personnel deployed from Bandegaun-based Metropolitan Police Sector arrested him on Tuesday afternoon.
Likewise, police arrested a youth on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl in Udayapur district on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrested has been identified as Durga Kumar Thapa Magar (26) of Hadaiya in Katari Municipality-3 in the district.
Acting on the information, Katari-based Area Police Office arrested Magar who allegedly raped the minor on Saturday night.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, informed the police.
Police in Kaksi district on Saturday arrested a man on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl.
The arrestee has been identified as Purna Bahadur Thapa (57) of Kaligandaki Village, who had currently been working at Chapachaur in Pokhara Metropolitan City-26.
Acting on the information, a team of police deployed from Shishuwa-based Area Police Office arrested Thapa.
Meanwhile, police in Sunsari district on Saturday evening arrested a man on the charge of raping an 11-year-old girl.
The arrestee, 55-year-old man from Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-17 was arrested two nights after the incident occurred.
The man allegedly raped the girl who was sleeping in his room on Thursday evening.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, said police.
