Two killed, five injured in jeep accident in Baglung

BAGLUNG: Two people have died and five others have been injured in a jeep accident in Baglung.

The incident occurred last evening when the jeep (Lu 3 Cha 5569), traveling from Badigad Rural Municipality-7 Bhimgithe to Badigad-10, overturned on an uphill road, according to the District Police Office, Baglung.

The victims who lost their lives in the accident have been identified as Khadka Bahadur Kuwar, 75, from Cholang, Nisikhola Rural Municipality-7, and Juna Kandel, 35, from Dhorpatan Municipality-5.

Police Chief Superintendent Bijay Yadav confirmed that the jeep overturned while navigating an uphill road.

The injured passengers include Tejakumari Budha, 63, Nimsara Budha, 50, Thamkumari Poudel, 52, and Sita Poudel, 30.

The identity of one of the injured remains unknown.

Among the injured, Tejakumari Budha is in critical condition, while the others have been treated for minor injuries at Burtibang Hospital.
