NARAYANGADH: Two people died in a scooter accident near the airport area of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 on Monday night.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal of the Chitwan District Police Office, the scooter (Ba. Pra. 06–003 Pa 0692) lost control and overturned around 2 a.m., leading to the fatal crash.

The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Sandip Ghimire, a resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-21, who was riding the scooter, and 28-year-old Kushal Aryal, who was riding pillion.

Both sustained severe head injuries and were rushed to Bharatpur Hospital, where they died during treatment the same night.
