KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has expressed deep sorrow over the news of several Nepali citizens reported missing in the recent devastating floods in Uttarakhand, India.

In a statement shared on Facebook, Minister Rana confirmed that the Nepal government has already initiated diplomatic measures to locate and rescue the missing nationals.

She has instructed the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi to coordinate closely and urgently with the Indian government for search and rescue operations.

Minister Rana extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the floods and landslides, emphasizing Nepal’s solidarity with the affected during this difficult time.
