KATHMANDU: A writ petition filed by 74 lawmakers from Madhes Province has been registered against the appointment process of the Chief Minister of Madhes Province.

The writ petition filed by 74 lawmakers from Madhes Province was registered in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Krishna Yadav, leader of the Madhes Province Congress parliamentary party, said that they have filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the government formed in accordance with Article 168 (3) of the Constitution.

The hearing for the writ has been scheduled for Wednesday.
