Police in Morang district arrested a youth on charge of threatening local residents by claiming to be a member of the Armed Police Force (APF) from Rangeli Municipality-2 on Sunday evening.

The accused has been identified as Manish Raya (20) of Mangalbare in the same municipality.

He allegedly threatened the locals by claiming to be a member of the Armed Police Force of Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality-3. Acting on a tip-off, Mayagunj-based border area police personnel immediately nabbed him.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
