A youth who was seriously injured in a bomb explosion in Badigad Rural Municipality-2 of Baglung district died on Thursday night.

The explosion occurred while some youths were preparing a bomb for fishing at Simalchaur in Badigad.

The deceased has been identified as Mitra Bahadur Rana (31), a permanent resident of Musikot Municipality-7 of Gulmi. He died on the way to Palpa hospital, according to Baglung District Police Office.

Similarly, another youth also injured in the incident has been identified as Arun Pun (28), a resident of Handikhola in Badigad-2. He has been undergoing treatment at Lumbini Medical College, police informed.

The bomb went off while they were making it at the residence of local Durga Bahadur Bhujel, police said.
