HETAUDA: The Bagmati Provincial Assembly will convene today (Thursday) at 11 AM to begin discussions on the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.

According to Provincial Assembly Secretary Ram Kumar Paudel, after the budget discussion and responses from Minister for Finance and Planning Kundan Raj Kafle, proposals for expenditure cuts will be presented.

Previous budget sessions were postponed twice due to disputes between the ruling and opposition parties.

Assembly Speaker Bhuvan Kumar Pathak assured that efforts are underway to conduct today’s meeting without any disruption.
