KATHMANDU: After CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli blocked even her renewed general party membership, former President Bidya Devi Bhandari is set to make a formal statement today.

Bhandari will hold a press conference at 3 PM at Karki Banquet in Babarmahal, Kathmandu, where she is expected to publicly express her position on UML’s recent decision.

The UML Central Committee, during its three-day meeting that began on July 20, decided to cancel Bhandari’s general membership, effectively preventing her from re-entering UML politics.

After maintaining a wait-and-watch stance for a few days, Bhandari is now expected to break her silence and respond to the party’s decision during today’s press conference.
