KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that Nepal’s political foundation is built on the national policy adopted by BP Koirala.

Speaking at an interaction program titled “BP as the Foundation of National Development and Citizens’ Progress” organized jointly by BP Memorial Hospital, BP Memorial Foundation, and the Congress Sports Department on the occasion of the 43rd memorial of BP Koirala, Deuba said BP’s policy of reconciliation remains relevant even today.

President Deuba recalled that BP Koirala remained unwavering in his commitment to democracy, dedicating his entire life to the nation and its people.

“In fact, BP’s message that only reconciliation between a strong Nepali Congress and other national forces can ensure the country’s independence and prosperity is still equally pertinent today,” Deuba stated.
