KATHMANDU: Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation Minister Balaram Adhikari is holding a press conference at 3 PM today after a new audio clip emerged, allegedly revealing a Rs 3.2 million bribe deal involving him.

The clip suggests Adhikari accepted the bribe via his son to transfer 135 ropanis of land in Pokhara.

It also implicates former General Administration Minister Rajkumar Gupta—who resigned Tuesday—ex-secretary Arjun Pokharel, and others.

The audio claims Gupta took Rs 3.5 million, Pokharel Rs 500,000, and mentions a total expenditure of Rs 15 million in the land deal.

Adhikari had earlier denied involvement in a related audio during a parliament session, claiming innocence.
