KATHMANDU: The Cabinet on Wednesday approved several key decisions during its meeting at Singha Durbar.

It has sanctioned a formal visit to Doha, Qatar, from November 3 to 6, led by President Ramchandra Paudel to participate in the “Second World Summit for Social Development.”

Cabinet has revised Schedule-2 of the Federal Parliament Members’ Remuneration and Facilities Act, which includes reducing the number of secretariat positions.

Additionally, it approved the Second Amendment Rules, 2025, related to printing and publishing; the rules will come into effect for online registration and renewal once published in the Gazette.

The government also decided to terminate the double taxation avoidance agreement with Mauritius.

Furthermore, the Cabinet set the date for the National Assembly by-election to fill vacant seats on January 25 next year.
