Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairperson of CPN Maoist Centre has called for a meeting of the party’s Standing Committee after meeting with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The meeting has been scheduled for 5 pm today.

Earlier today, Dahal had gone to Budhanilkantha to hold talks with Deuba at his residence. As the deadline given by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari to form a government nears, talks between the leaders of various political parties have intensified.

The president has given a deadline of 9 pm today for the parties to form a government under Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

At present, a meeting of the office bearers of Nepali Congress is ongoing.
