KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has undergone 12 stitches on his head, the party confirmed on Friday.
Speaking at a press conference following the Central Working Committee meeting, party spokesperson Min Bishwakarma said the hospital had provided an update on Deuba’s condition.
Deuba sustained injuries to the upper part of his neck during the recent Gen Z revolt.
According to Bishwakarma, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka briefed the committee on Deuba’s health earlier in the day.
“Doctors have reported that he has 12 stitches on his head and experiences discomfort while speaking and dizziness while standing. For these reasons, he has not yet been discharged and will remain in the hospital for a few more days,” Bishwakarma said.
