Election brings constitution back on track: Leader Pandey

GORKHA: Former Chief Minister of Bagmati Province and leader of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Rajendra Pandey, has said the election is vital to bring the constitution back on track.

Addressing a programme organised by NCP, Gorkha here Thursday, he stressed the need of holding the election on the slated date. “The constitution has been digressed from its spirit and value. It will come back on track fully after the election,” the NCP leader argued.

He mentioned, “Reinstatement of the parliament might push the country to another conflict. So it is necessary to bring the constitution on a right course through election.”

Leader Pandey pointed out the need of unification among communist parties in the present complex political circumstance. He argued his party faced baseless allegation during the party unification. In his argument, major main basis of the party unification was socialism of Nepali characteristics where the guidance was Marxism-Leninism.
