KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has urged the Election Commission for its effective role in enforcing the election code of conduct.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha blamed that the political party having the election symbol ‘Bell’ was causing sound pollution by ringing bells rampantly and violating the election code of conduct. “It is worrying that EC was not paying heed to such gross violation of the election code of conduct,” RPP said, wondering if other parties also sport their election symbols physically and EC accepts that as well.
The party also expressed concern over the incident occurred in Rautahat that intends to disrupt social unity and harmony and foment communal hatred. The RPP appealed to all sides concerned to contribute from their sides to maintain social harmony and unity.
