DHORPATAN: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said there was no alternative to elections in the present situation.

Addressing the public dialogue program here today, former Prime Minister Dahal claimed that elections can only bail the country out of the current crisis.

Coordinator Dahal said that his party has not paid any attention to the agendas of parliament reinstatement and all-party government formation raised by some parties.

“This election came not on our will. We were thinking of conducting the election in 2084 BS. The election now emerged in extra-ordinary circumstances. There is no option but to best utilize the election”, he viewed.

He said his party has engaged its dedicated efforts to safeguard the country from the evolving complex situation and protect the hard-earned achievements obtained from long struggle and devotion.

Dahal claimed that the country witnessed vehement destruction due to the unscrupulous interests of the national and international forces though the Gen Z movement was waged for freeing country from corruption, establishing good governance and keeping civic freedoms.
He highlighted the need of unity among left forces to steer the country to change.
