KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has announced her return to active politics.
Addressing a program organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation—named after her late husband and former UML General Secretary Madan Bhandari—she declared her political comeback.
Bhandari, who also served as a former Vice Chair of CPN-UML, made the announcement during the foundation’s event.
“After being relieved from a different kind of political responsibility, I have renewed my party membership with a sacred intent to continue the political journey within CPN-UML,” she said.
“I have now rejoined the CPN-UML family as one of its members, and I am proud of it,” she added.
