KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari was welcomed with high honors by Chinese government officials and Communist Party leaders during her visit to Guangzhou.

The Chinese government arranged the delegation’s entire itinerary and is hosting them at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, providing full diplomatic privileges.

The delegation includes notable figures such as CPN-UML Secretary Raghuvir Mahaseth and Industry Minister Damodar Bhandari.

In her honor, Chinese authorities hosted a banquet attended by party officials and leaders from neighboring countries.

Bhandari is scheduled to deliver keynote speeches at two major events in Beijing and Gansu Province, where she will discuss regional political dialogue and citizen-level exchanges.

She is also the chief guest at an upcoming political dialogue involving representatives from various regional parties.
Other members of the delegation will address important topics including infrastructure development, regional cooperation, and strengthening mutual trust.

Minister Damodar Bhandari will hold a meeting with leaders from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
