Four new ministers to be sworn in at 2:30 pm today

KATHMANDU: The swearing-in ceremony of four new ministers is scheduled for 2:30 PM today, according to the Office of the President.

President Ramchandra Paudel’s press coordinator, Khila Karki, confirmed that the oath-taking time has been set for 2:30 PM.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki is appointing Khagendra Sunar, Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam, Bablu Gupta, and Ganapati Lal Shrestha as new ministers.

As per the latest division of portfolios, Sunar will head the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Gautam will lead the Ministry of Health and Population, and Gupta will take charge of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Earlier, Ganapati Lal Shrestha was expected to be appointed as Minister for Tourism, but a last-minute reshuffle has assigned him to the Ministry of Land Reform, sources at the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed.
